Greetings from the dark again
I will always pay to see Michael Caine perform. I have always found his relaxed and natural approach fascinating, entertaining and, mostly, effective. As the amazing Clarence, an aging career magician, he is simply fantastic. This is perhaps the first role in which he really tries to look older than he really is. The rest is a bit flimsy and certainly not on the level of «Mrs.
Palfrey in Claremont» Still, the movie is worth it for Michael Caine’s performance
One of his best films in years and really captures the pain of aging and slowly losing yourself.
